I expect intel to spend much more on marketing during the bulldozer launch to negate the effect of lower sales and then will reduce their prices then. This also proves that intel is overpricing their products now when they can sell their products at much lower prices.
Now let us all pray that Bulldozer turns out to be good. All this secrecy surrounding Bulldozer is giving me the impression that it is gonna bomb. They haven’t even given out samples yet for benchmarking. And it there is very little time left for launch.
I think they are rigorously testing their product. If at all any flaw does arise intel is good at putting that brand suffer. Remember the days when people used to say that all AMD devices overheat. It is better to be safe then sorry.
One thing is sure.. Bulldozer is going to change the marketing dynamics a lot even if it isn’t a success. If it does becomes a success then Intel will be forced to go back to the drawing board & churn out a better APU with decent graphic capability not to forget improved drivers for those graphic cores…
Well this is a first intels droping prices,i still remember the old high core clock quads LGA775 cpus being sold @ i7 rates, seem like a good step from intel, what do you guys think ,and how much will bulldozer cost ??
