So my mum’s old 2021 Samsung M21 is slower than a Nokia 1100, at this point.
I have decided to give her my Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. I always take care of my phones, so it’s in prisitne condition, with good battery backup.
Now, I don’t want to drop a bomb on a phone - sticking to 50K.
I was thinking of building a small Apple Ecosystem overtime - main being adding the watch and airpods at a later stage.
My last iPhone was the 6S. Loved it to bits.
My cousin has a rarely used Alpine Green 13 Pro Max (6/128) - 95% battery, pristine condition.
Shes willing to let it go for 40K
Need some advice. I also okay with used (whether here on the forum, or Cashify) - as long as the phone is in great condition with good battery backup.

My suggestion is to get a USB C device at the minimum. New / used.

Both have 60 Hz refresh .. not sure if it makes any difference for you coming from that Moto. The e has better battery, same cpu but no magsafe. As an entry to the fruit, e is what I would also recommend.
Here are the usual Reddit folks bitching about them-

Refresh rate does matter to me. A drop to 60 would be very very noteacable.
I’m also open to good (new or used) android alternatives.

The 16 is also good, but expensive, 16e is more vfm.
16 has 2 extra graphics core and 16 plus has 3 extra compared to 16e, everything else is the same in CPU and GPU.
16 and 16 plus also gives you 1 extra ultra wide camera which 16e doesn’t have.
16e has apple in house designed modem and it also slightly bigger battery about 12%.
iPhone 16e @ 48k, extra 3k discount with ICICI CC.
iPhone 16 Plus @ 68k, extra 4k discount with ICICI CC.

I have also heard that 60 Hz on iPhones feel “smoother”? Maybe @Heisen can chime in.
That same cousin also has a pristine S23 Ultra (256) ready to let go for 48K

Maybe check it out in the nearby Apple store. I know the display can make a difference hence pointed it out.

It really depends on your preferences. The refresh rate doesn’t matter much to me, but it might make a difference for you. You should give that iPhone 13 Pro Max a try to see for yourself.
I did. Felt smooth as butter. The phone feels surprisingly snappy.

You can definitely notice the 60 Hz refresh rate on OLED when scrolling through page with lots of text, like a large paragraph in small font size, like a Wikipedia article.
That’s really the only time it feels like a 60 Hz display, in most other situations, it’s not noticeable at all.

You have to turn off the 120Hz. I forgot 13 pro max has 120Hz mode.
That’s not true , no green issue ..
I have also heard good things about the One Plus 13s.
A little sus that all posts are from the same account.
