Uhm.. Thats a pretty useless config for the price. Are you getting it from the US? You can get a MUCH better config for that price.
No, that’s not worth anything remotely close to 60k. Junk it.
That config is similar to Dell Vostro 1000 which is available for some 32000 and currently the highest rated laptop at Notebookreview.com
How about the Dell XPS M1330. A cracker of a laptop and the last time I checked 57000 at Dell India. Yummy. However since your friends wants graphic work 13.3 will probably be too small. I suggest you look around Dell India, lots of good models, vostro, inspiron etc and reasonably priced with tons of options.
thanks for the info, we stay in bangalore any good shops where i can find dell etc
Dell is direct to home, you order online and they deliver. They do have some mini stores in the US however I don’t know if they have any in Bangalore. TE members in Bangalore can guide you better. One thing I can say is they have fabulous after sales support.
You can log on to Dell India site to see the config and prices.
Dell India
Also a TE member called Raghu who I think is based in Bangalore can get you deep discounts on Dell hardware. PM him your config and he can get you some good discount. Check out his Dell LCD monitor GO’s in the market section
i agree with raul…the dell xps m1330 wins hands down…its one whopper of a laptop with mouth watering details enuf to make any other laptops look like crap…chk this out…

Thing is, if you go with the 1330, the best gfx card you can get is the 8400GS. IMO you should go for the Inspiron 1520. Just customise it on their site (www.dell.co.in) and then follow the instructions. They’ll get back to you in a day and you can then bargain with them A LOT on the price. Or Raghu on this site can help you (he could get me my friend a 3k disc. got 3.5k off directly from dell)..
come on u cant spend 60k on this junk go to dell and check with their xps man
im trying to convince him to go for dell but now he is looking at Hp i think he wants to save some money from that 60k…guys can u suggest something similar to the 1330 in Hp but a little cheap…i will convince him to buy dell but ill show him something from hp for now since he asked…please suggest
