Is using Remove Windows AI github app or script good?

Hello all,

Is using Remove Windows AI github app or script good? Will it break any updates? Is it safe to use?

Why don’t you investigate in a VM like Virtualbox and let us know if it is safe?

However, do note that whatever you remove tend to come back in subsequent Windows updates.

I recommend manual removal over scripts.

Also disable it from group policy

Where is windows AI getting invoked by itself?

In most places it requires human input to trigger, I guess.

I use maybe two regedit scripts to

  • Remove web search from startmenu.
  • Fast boot of startup apps.

Co-pilot is hard integrated into the OS. You might encounter glitches now and then, eventually ending your witchhunt. Better to leave normal Windoge as is and get LTSC. Install programs as needed.

If you use windows ltsc, get windows 11 iot ltsc. it has some things that are better for general use, such as support for a digital licence.

You could get something like tiny windows and install features you want later.

But then again, never use a custom iso without verifying.

You could get windows pro and use group policy to remove things out.

Use this one instead. It has many things to debloat/change and can remove most AI stuff

One of the laptop in my home still being used with 8gb ram, i3 3rd gen processor on win 10 ltsc iot version and it still works very nice. Not as good as I used to love my favourite old win 7 but still it’s being good for daily basic usage (not extremely responsive but fine) and can still run old games released till around 2010 quite nicely.

I referred to David Bombal’s guide for debloating. The Chris Titus’ tool is pretty good and depending upon how you use it, it can be very effective.

Yes, its good as well
