Japan trials 100-kilowatt laser weapon — it can cut through metal and drones mid-flight | Live Science

I think we will soon see laser guns like that in star wars .

If missile can be fit with nuclear reactor to keep it going and supplying with endless energy.

May be they already have it .

During Galwan reports are coming China used laser weapons but not confirmed by Indian govt.

US says chinese did use laser weapons.

Defence weapons designing is now uncontrollable.

Seems it’s completely let loose…jisko jo bana hai banao.
All treaties and testing and limitations set in 20th century is gone to the dogs or are being no longer renewed.

Sci-fi turning into reality is cool, but the speed and lack of control around these weapons is honestly a bit worrying

In recent times ..the most deadliest weapon that these big powers have shows to the world is that cruise missile by Russian with nuclear reactor that can keep going for days..

Imagine firing a missile and leaving to circle around on enemy airspace or anywhere in world and then tell it to strike.

That technology will ofcourse give rise to new missile race.

Wow… wirless charging to laser charging.

This laser technology is not going to be just for weapons i guess.

It seems to become applicable in lot of consumer technology sooner or later.

Imagine able to charge electronics with laser lights too.

That is a world destroying device if somebody made Russia fail miserably. Heard early tests failed too. Uses old age technology, may have lot of weak points.

Advancements in Lasers are indeed threatening for nation size conflicts.

And conflicts are cropping up in unexpected places, for eg., that Thailand vs Cambodia which still seethes on was not on anybody’s expectation.

If early tests failed…wouldn’t it cause serious radioactive fallout in that zone where test were carried out?

Maybe they may have already put restrictions on that testing area where it failed but would not tell the world.
