Laptop for Mom - Dell Inspiron 14R

Hey guys,

My mom wants a lightwieght laptop with good performance. She needs it for daily tasks and all and opening like 10 word documents and some pdf’s at the same time.

So I was thinking of the Dell Inspiron 14R. I heard it is a pretty good laptop. What do you people recommend?

Maximum budget is 55,000 rupees.

Thanks
Crazysah

yes inspiron 14R is good

also dell studio 15 is an good option too

more the number of inches of screen, better it is for parents. you should go for 15" option or more.

The Dell Studio 15 my dad has is pretty heavy. My mom doesn’t need such a large computer either. So a 14 inch would work. So is the Dell Inspiron 14R worth it then?

Dell inspiron 14R is good choice and you also get the awesome Dell service. You may also consider sony vaio EA25/EA23. Its a nice looking, light weight 14 inch laptop with i3-350m processor and ATi 5145 graphics card.you can get it for around 46k/42k including targus laptop bag. Here is the link:

VPCEA25FG : E Series : VAIO

VPCEA23EN : E Series : VAIO

Is there anything on the downside for the Dell Inspiron 14R?

She looked at the Sony Vaio’s and didn’t really think they were great.

^ tell your mom to check the website about this laptop name vostro very light slim and good quality and most vfm laptop and very light and no heavy usage  just surf the net on your lap or anywhere without carry heavy thing expect like heavy baby :face_with_tongue: also vegetable :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Vostro V13 Laptop Details | Dell India

^^huh? vegetable?

^^ Lol. talk about irrelevance.

Anyway, my vote goes for the Studio 14.

Isn’t the Studio 14 heavier than the Inspiron 14 and the only other difference being the performance?

Inspiron 14 - 2.25 kg

Studio 14 - 2.38 kg

The new Inspiron 14 also heats up pretty quickly, based on a few user reviews.

So 90% buying the Dell Studio 14. Whatt is the best configuration for around rupees 55,000?

Can someone help me?

Just to give you an idea…

Grand Total: 55.7K + Delivery charges

My cousin needed a lightweight laptop and I made her get the MSI X340 , i mean if you are okay with a 13" screen , that would probably be the best given her needs . Weighs only 1.3kgs and costs 22-23k . Whats the point of getting a high end config which wont be made use of . rest its your call .

Got something very similar to that. Thanks.

Good to hear.
