Laptop/Monitor OLED Performance and Longevity Megathread

Wanted to know from those of you who made the early switch to laptop/desktop OLEDs: how is it going?

  1. Which OLED laptops/displays are you using?
  2. Are the displays still performing well?
  3. Any cases of burn-ins and other common OLED issues?
  4. What do you mostly use it for: gaming or productivity or some mix?

Please share your experience and how many years it’s been since you started using OLED laptops/monitors.

Not sure if this/similar thread already exists but thought to create one if not.

OLED Laptop:

  1. Asus VivoBook OLED, bought in August 2022
  2. Yup, can’t really tell any degradation so yeah would say it’s performing well
  3. Had a minor burn in few years ago after I left a game pause screen at 100% brightness for around 2 hours, gone after playing a pixel refresher video
  4. Mostly use for gaming and media

Only using an OLED TV since 2020 but I do plan on getting an OLED monitor next year because the contrast difference in dark rooms is a lot.

That said, I do not recommend an OLED Laptop if you do not plan on paying for an extended warranty throughout your use. Burn in is very real even though people downplay it a lot. So using it for productivity is usually going to cause burn in due to static elements.
