LCD TV Calibration

Guys I need to calibrate my Samsung UA46B7000 LED-Backlit LCD TV.

I use it for console gaming, analogue cable TV, HD movies, etc.

I, earlier, had some trouble adjusting the PQ while playing Killzone 2 and sought TE help. (http://www.techenclave.com/consoles/killzone-2-on-samsung-ua46b7000-159467.html)
Thankfully I managed to solve the problem after tinkering with some settings.

But guys, how does one know that the picture, being seen, was meant to be seen the way its showing up?
Because in absence of a standard picture I’ll have to keep on adjusting the settings.

I mean, like in case of games may be developers wanted to give you a particular feel and look of the game (like the dark, apocalyptic environment in KZ2) which may be quite different from what you’re seeing with the Factory Settings.

Please don’t think that I’m making a mountain of a molehill. :ashamed:
I tried googling and came up with something called DVE or AVIA disk.
So, if I manage to find it somewhere, is it worth buying it?

I also tried the site TweakTV for my model and got some settings.
Is this site a reliable one? (As this was recommended by someone)

Any help is much appreciated.

Anyone???

Guys I don’t know if my question is flawed, but am I the only one trying to calibrate a TV?

Or is it not that important?

settings on avforums.com had worked for me pretty good, when I was using A750 couple of years back.

Thanks for replying!

Will try out avforums and see if I get the settings similar to tweaktv.
