An electrician has already visited my place and it has been more than a month he is still figuring out a solution and is out of viable options..now say. And yeah I dont reside on some greek lost island but pune city.
i had once done a mod where a moduler plate was screwed on top of this fiber plate, then i could easily install the moduler switch, i guess it was anchor roma, should be a quick mod.
If you remove the cover it will have the screw positions like this. They might not align perfectly, you might have to offset it, such that two diagonal screws goes into what I assume is wood under there.
And use this indicator to fill the other space. OR just this one alone, which is single wider unit with built in indicator, takes space equivalent of two 1M switches.
This sounds interesting. Wont mind ordering from this site but only if they are reliable.
Btw how to screw this modular plate? The screw holes aren’t visible from outside. Pardon me but I have never worked on modular switches/sockets yet as most of us have old home so very well versed with the usual screw thing.
Can I install it on my existing plate ding a jugaad or if I need to to remove the existing plate then how to go about it.
and @superczar The electronic shops around my zone dont have them, doesn’t entertain nor suggest anything like this. They say I have to visit the main electronics market which again is faraway from my place.
Hence here exploring online options.
**Forgot to mention, an electrician visited my place and it has been a month he is still figuring out a solution..now say. And yeah I dont reside on some greek lost island but pune city.
That’s odd..
pretty much all electrical shops will have a matching plate and switch..
Just to be sure nothing is lost in translation, this is what I am referring to… This is a 2 module example ..
PS: given you are in Pune, literally any neighborhood hardware shop will have this..
If you can’t find it, let me know and I can help with a porter pickup
