My dad’s been using a Samsung M31 for the past 4-5 years. Just looking for a meaningful upgrade, like hole punch display,120hz, 5g and a big battery. I could extend a bit and get OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite but not sure. I’ve shortlisted Oppo K13x, Redmi Note 14 and OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite.
Anything else is also good enough for him. He only uses it for typical stuff, WhatsApp video calls, YouTube shorts, and the likes. I am open to suggestions, can stretch a bit. The cheaper and more value for money, the better in my opinion.
iQOO z10x my uncle is using it for a month no issues I also used the device for a day before setting up it’s a no nonsense phone under 15 k
And the battery life is great
Oneplus CE4 Lite is old, comes with less battery capacity and a weaker processor compared to newer launches that came this year. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Competition is high and there are some good phones around 15k mark.
Get Realme P3 if having a snapdragon processor is a must (its also a light-weight phone @194g)
Get Oppo k13 if you want bigger battery @ 7000mAh and can stretch your budget to 18k (other goodies like having 8GB RAM by default, 80W fast charging & Vapour-chamber cooling.)
Get Samsung M35 if your dad wants to stay on a familiar looking phone albeit a heavier one with the slowest charging speed among competitors.
Get iQOO Z10x if you want a tough all-rounder that is under your budget. (Apparently its military-grade certified, whatever that means)
There’s also Redmi Mi Note 14 SE that launched a few days ago but there’s no listing of it on gsmarena so can’t compare directly. It also has just a 5100mAh battery which is very small compared to others in segment.
Specification wise I think Oppo K13 is the best choice, granted you are willing to spend a bit more.
