OT but this has always been the problem with buying the upgraded MBPs instead of the base models. The price gouging on RAM+SSD is hard to swallow for anyone in the second hand market. Hope you find a buyer though, this config is pretty great for anyone looking to do software dev and local LLMs.

yeah i mean i’m just sad i didn’t buy the 14inch, if it wasn’t for the size the m4 max is worth all the extra money so it’s not just the ssd and the ram
I’d say make your peace with it and enjoy the bigger display, better battery life, and better cooling performance on sustained loads. I know it’ll be difficult (everyone at my workplace who received 16 inch variants returned theirs for the smaller one) but you’ll probably get used to the weight.
