Motorola today launched the third-generation Moto G in India. The mid-range smartphone is available in two storage variants — 8GB and 16GB — priced at ₹ 11,999 and ₹ 12,999 respectively. It will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart at midnight.

Under the hood is a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. The 8GB variant features 1GB of RAM, while the 16GB variant features 2GB of RAM.

On the photography front, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera, which the company says is as good as the one on th Nexus 6. Up front is a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone also features microSD card slot, and a 2,470mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 24 hours of mixed usage.

IMO, Moto G first gen was best phone given to time period in 2013, 2nd and 3rd gen have failed to leave a mark.

Cannot overlook how the competition has grown since the days of Moto G1 really. Secondly, there is a limit to how a product can be enhanced maintaining the cost effectivness from the previous iteration as well.

And the black one looks really elegant.

plus its now customizable like the moto x

the phones design and the water proofing are great.. but it is over priced,
if a full HD display was included then the pricing would have been spot on..

Good one.

I would like a back and gold combo…
Any chance with the Moto Maker?

Edit: Thats for the Moto X Style BTW…

Moto Maker has been launched in India, right? How to make use of it? Is it available for Moto G3? I did not see any such option in Flipkart. For this price range, I think Moto G phones are a great deal.
