MSI Intros MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition & New X870E “AMD AM5” MAX Motherboards: Up To 15% Boost On Ryzen CPUs With OC Engine, 64 MB BIOS, & Upgraded Designs
MSI has introduced its brand new MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition & several upgraded AMD AM5 X870E MAX motherboards with new features.

The MSI MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition is the new flagship, marking the 10th Anniversary of the Godlike series. This motherboard features an upgraded design with black and gold aesthetics. Only 1,000 units of the motherboard will be produced, and each will carry a golden nameplate engraved with a unique number from 1 to 1,000. It also comes with a custom collectors stand and will be bundled with all the goodies on the standard X870E GODLIKE, plus a black-colored Lucky Stuff toy.
On release, the MSI MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition has already achieved an overclocking feat, pushing the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X to an impressive 7.304 GHz. The overclocking feat was achieved by Taiwanese overclocker TSAIK, and you can view the submission here.
In addition to the new GODLIKE, MSI is also releasing a range of new AMD AM5 “X870E” motherboards within its “MAX” series. These will include several options, and we have details on a few models besides the MAG X870E Tomahawk MAX WIFI PZ and the MEG X870E ACE MAX.

All new MSI X870E MAX series motherboards will feature an OC Engine, which will allow independent BCLK control, delivering a 15% gaming performance boost on AMD’s Ryzen CPUs, and also allow better OC capabilities. The motherboards also feature an onboard BCLK jumper for enthusiasts to fine-tune their CPUs.
One of the most significant upgrades comes in the form of the increased BIOS capacity, which has been upgraded from 32 MB to 64 MB. This enables enhanced compatibility with existing and future Ryzen CPUs. These motherboards also feature optimized PCIe slots with full x16 (for GPU) and full x4 (for M.2) bandwidth. All “MAX” series motherboards also feature 5G LAN, WIFI 7, and USB 40G options, and offer upgraded VRMs with better heatsinks, including finned designs on some of the top-tier models such as MEG ACE MAX. GODLIKE & ACE MAX models come with 10G LAN.
