Is this really charming? Sold 10 in last hour !!!
Any reviews - first hand or otherwise ? Does this have the same panel as MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED as that got a lot of kudos at RTINGS ?
that is made up most likely, it’s there on even the most niche product.
My brief research tells me the panel is the same, UP, UPX, URX differ in refresh rate and features like USB PD power and KVM.
Nice so Oled monitors are getting cheaper .. ![]()
Will buy when the price is 20k for 27inch.
How many years do I have to wait for that approx. ?
Never I think, inflation will never let it happen. OLED is already a decade old.
Isn’t 70k way too much to spend on a monitor? Especially considering the current and future state of PC building. If we don’t create a PC capable of running any upcoming AAA title games at a minimum of 1440p on high or max settings for at least 5 years, many things will shift to the cloud. So buy a good 1440p/4k monitor based on the ratings by RTINGS and invest remaining money on other parts
I’ve been using an IPS monitor and always ensure to close my eyes when walking by an OLED as I have been told many times that its too mesmerizing to look at. I do this to protect myself from FOMO.
I have the AW3225QF from Alienware, which has the same panel as this one and in HDR games, its top notch. I’ve never had an OLED screen close to this size before and I find that it looks pretty good in general.
I just feel bad that I paid almost 20k more for the same panel, not that this was on sale when I bought my monitor, but still.
Price is high yes, although damn these keep getting cheaper.
There is huge image quality difference, so purely from that angle ignoring other issues, its well worth it.
I would much rather spend on monitor considering that other parts are getting badly priced while these are getting cheaper. Play older games, play with lower optimized settings. That’s what i do with 3080, which is not that good at 4k anymore.
HDR+Oled is much bigger jump than RT/PT on IPS for me, not even close.
But its expensive and has burn in risk, so not for everyone. Considering how they keep getting cheaper, hopefully they will become more and more affordable and get to 30s/40s and maybe 1080p added too to make it cheaper.
Someone mentioned that some store was not honoring deals and returning money after delay ( probably they use that money as working capital or something). Not sure if it was computech, but verify.
just hold on for next 2 yrs max these monitors are dirt cheap in china. idk why we are paying 2x, even 3x on this things
. the same case was with led bulbs when they were new they would cost 500rs per piece now they have completely replaced trash cfl bulbs and are dirt cheap.
China
china ek baar toh jana chahiya. ( Atleast once every tech lover should go to China) those guys are living in the future.
I was thinking of getting a Samsung G5 OLED cause of their service reach and also the fact that I can get it from a brick and mortar shop. In India I think it is better to use this approach rather than prioritizing small gains on non-mainstream brands.
MSI is pretty mainstream, have claimed warranty on one of their laptops without any issues.
I believe @vishalrao has this. Tagging him to get some feedback on if the initial issues are sorted and how will this be as a daily driver.
Thanks yes, monitor is great, just a couple of annoyances like glossy finish while I prefer matte display of my samsung odyssey g8 oled, other is the forced pixel refresh after 24 hrs of usage because I fully poweroff when not using it, I guess if you leave it on standby it won’t bother you. My samsung doesn’t force refresh just pops up a message on bootup which disappear when login screen shows up.
Got my msi 321up for around 85k so it’s definitely worth it unless you want latest 5th gen panels which solve the text clarity improve it. I guess 321up is going clearance for upcoming 5th gen launch…
yeah most e-commerce stores use these cheap upsell plugins to capitalise on buyers FOMO to upsell their product. These plugins are just cheap marketing tactics
well i pulled the plug and bought MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED 34 Inch 2K for 65K around last BBD sale and after spending some time on it i think it was worth it. I know its not the latest generation panel. but for now i am enjoying the screen. I have a secondary 27 inch IPS panel
Initially i thought this one isnt bright enough as the IPS one had a mode that will raise the brightness to a level that the image will be etched to your retina at the cost of color acuracy. but over time I like this new one better. so I would say this 32 inch one and that too with 4k is worth it
It’s a lot of money, but 4K OLED really is amazing. I don’t personally have one, but I know a couple friends who do and it really does live up to the hype.
You also have to consider there’s plenty of people who don’t game often, and when they do it’s not the latest AAA titles. I for one will definitely consider a 4K OLED even for productivity work and watching movies/shows.
For now the monitor my office gives me should do ![]()
