My new rig after 12 years! Core i3 Haswell to Ryzen 5 7600!

I went from the build advice posted here

https://techenclave.com/threads/60k-pc-build-for-1080p-black-myth-wukong-and-similar-titles.226705/

to the final build as mentioned below!

The parts and specs are as below

Got all parts from Phoenix Technology Nx, Lamington Road last week.
Paid 1.04L.

I managed to break the glass last week while trying to open the cabinet to add my old harddrives. ‍:(

I called the store people and they are getting me a replacement today for a total cost of 0/-
Phoenix Technology Nx gets a big +1 from me!

I also got this Evofox One S controller a couple of weeks ago.

The gaming journey after almost 20 years has begun with Ghosts of Tsushima and it’s so wow!

Edit: Got the new side panel from Phoenix Technology Nx. Installed it. We are new again!

I went from a similar older build(same mobo with i7-4790k) to a newer one this year, so I feel you. Happy gaming

If the panel hits ceramic floor, then good chance of it shattering.
What i do is always remove it over bed and keep it on bed at all times.

Nice jump in performance.

My previous 2 cabinets glass side panels shattered 2 times and I got them replaced by paying 1.8k each and now using matx mesh panel. Is good but can’t see inside although I don’t have to worry about anything shattering.

Same config as OP and need to add latest GPU now.

OP How much fps are you getting on 1440p in Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk 2077?

So the journey started from 60k and reached at 1.02L.
Glass panels are extremely brittle cum heavy hence I’m a huge fan of the good old fiber glass.
But today seems all brands have shifted to glass for sheer aesthetics with the bonus add-on of huge risk only to pass on to the buyer forcing him to buy another case in case the glass breaks of his existing case. And thus its a case of pure biz..

Case case pe likha hai glass phodne vale ka naam!

It also makes it heavier. Transparent plastic should be so much better.

Should be in -

Yaay! Thanks bro!

Yes, I did the same while removing the old one and putting in the new one now!

Yet to install/play either of them. Will let you know by this weekend. Also, I know Cyberpunk 2077 is standalone, but is Witcher like a series? Will I have to play 1/2 to get the story?

Yeah, 60–>1L. I hope I utilise it and don’t feel bad for splurging later!
Also, wouldn’t glass panels make for better cooling compared to acrylic / plastic ?

Heavy af. But so clean too!

Metal panel gang(all 4 of us) is two steps ahead.

Nice build, do share how the 16gb 5060 is performing and why you choose it

Very strongly recommend 2 and 3 if you are into single player story driven games.

1 is a bit clunky and old, had a good story but i did not get it at first. Definitely worst of 3 ( but good ).
2 might be a bit boring at first, dunno i stopped playing it. But replayed few years later and it has a very strong focused story.
3 is perfect. Maybe best rpg, perhaps best game of all time. Definitely one of the best atleast.

You don’t really need to play earlier games, but they will add some context and familiarity.

Congratulations mate! I hope you really do enjoy the PC to the fullest. And may you have a couple of decades of happy gaming! I recently went the other way - from a desktop to a MiniPC (now I have a Beelink Mini PC and Mac M4 and an Intel NUC - for work and home) - and I am loving the switch!

Hope you enjoy it every bit as much! @@rajshah

Much love, and heartfelt wishes for a happy gaming life!

PS: Loved the part where you shared the broken glass picture. Although I thankfully never had a broken glass panel, I would have been incredibly embarassed to share it. Total kudos to you man!

You picked the perfect game to test this PC on. Congrats on the build. I really dig how it turned out aesthetically. It’s solid.

Difference is negligible.

Glass looks premium and it’s also more scratch resistant than plastic/acrylic panels. Good GPU, avoid the overclocking, and it will serve you long time.

The 16gb 5060 for a little headroom with all the games being ram hungry these days. Also, I’m fine with 1080p gaming and didn’t want to invest more in a 5070/80 not knowing if I’ll pursue gaming and utilise the cards for 2k/4k.

Got it. Will do the entire series then! Thanks!

Oh man! Thank you bro <3

Yaaay!!!

No OC for me! Cheers!

Even I had a similar build with i3 3220 and 750ti. And then the processor showed its colors and started to destroy textures on Apex legends I still have SS for that game. I went from 3220->11400f->14600kf(sff) (3060ti). Anyways congratulations on the build and happy gaming. May the frames be high and temps be low.
