So I have been saving for quite some time to buy a new a pc and the plan is to get new cpu, mobo, gpu, psu, other things can be bought 2nd hand or I will be diving here to get them. Got the peripherals and have been using them with my laptop.
Been eyeing the r5 7600, 9060xt 16gb, and researching mobos thinking of b650s as b850 seems like a market gimmick of some sort just with the name change and psus.
So the plan is to get these on an AM5 platform, then upgrade when needed later in every 3-4 years, considering whichever part is bottlenecking at the time. (Since the pc can go pretty far with AM5 and that new monster 9800x3D so the coming years I will not have to worry about replacing whole system). Will change the cpu when needed then gpu when needed and so on.
Oh and I live in Delhi
Time for my questions :
Is it better to buy offline or mix the online and offline purchase to get the best value?
And I have been looking at 7600 and it is still around 18k even on sales on all of the online platforms after such a long time, do online platforms really give discounts on these popular pc components?? I haven’t seen it drop 2-2.5 k ever. (maybe just maybe I missed it but I think I never dropped)
Do pc parts actually get a good discounts in sale ?
I am not fully confident in this
I mean when you save funds to get a pc you would want to get as much discount as possible
Ok then these are the questions for now I will keep this thread and keep asking more questions
Please suggest any better changes to my rough build. This is my 1st pc after using laptop for so many years.
I did a build 2 months ago. I went to Nehru Place to check out stuff, the prices were a bit above what you get in online for most stuff, some was equal. But I didn’t want to go through the hassle of bargaining and all. So, in the end, I just decided to order everything online. Took a week for everything to be delivered, but still it was nice, and costed me less than what I was quoted offline. Again, the offline quote could have been bargained, but I didn’t want to spend my energy on that
We need a listing of shops outside of the standard primeabgb/vedant/md etc… which are personally vouched by members. It could give more business to smaller shops and also get us better rates.
Have seen sales channels through whatsapp groups.
From one of such groups, a team of well known big sellers and admins, are working on a platform.
Where ppl can register as seller (ofc verified first), and have a complete E-Commerce like listing and shopping solution. Yet under work, but something like that is what you’re probably looking for.
I can vouch for Jaydip Mori Vartej of JD Technology located in Jaipur & Delhi as well & I can vouch for Vivian Julius of Elixir Computers located in Coimbatore.
Both are my good friends and have delivered PC parts as promised without any defects.
Mori also deals in 2nd hand PC parts with some warranty.
An amazon-like area with trusted sellers, will improve the situation a lot and I think there will be a lot more selling and buying done.
Just need a simple interface at first which works well and doesn’t break with a lot of people using the platform at the same time, then integrate AI later for better searches and all.
Asrock b650 steel legend non-e variant but can’t find it anywhere,
MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI AMD Motherboard
Or maybe if the budget allows asrock b650 pg riptide.
They got good vrms and top of the line power phase system.
Question: These boards are expensive man. Since I am aiming a pc for long period of time, will it be fine getting these? They are I think about 18-19k, pg riptide is 24,
Or are there other good options? With good vrms and sturdy power phase system.
