Need advice on buying Monitor for Laptop

Hello All,

I’m planning to set up a dual-monitor setup, but for now I’ll be buying just one monitor (might add another in a few months or later). I’ve checked out a lot of options online, but I’m a bit confused. Need your suggestions based on the requirements below.

Monitor Requirements

  • Main use: coding, browsing, Teams/Zoom meetings

  • Secondary: light web design, graphics, video editing

  • Laptop ports: HDMI and USB-C

  • Screen: 24" or 27", IPS / LED / OLED, thin bezel if possible

  • Budget: under ₹10K, can stretch to ₹12K–15K for a better option

  • Desk: small, so prefer compact setup (I have an external stand already)

better to order online or check Lamington Road? Any good/reliable store suggestions?

Can any one please suggest?

Check this thread

If you want QHD along with Type C, Type A & HDMI ports

If you want FHD with just HDMI and DP ports

I am continuing this thread to avoid duplication. I could not buy a monitor earlier due to some circumstances.

I am now looking to buy a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) monitor with a budget of around ₹20,000 (can stretch slightly if it makes a meaningful difference). Please suggest the best options available in India.

Use case (priority order):

  1. Coding, reading, spreadsheets (long hours)

  2. Office calls and media consumption

  3. Light to moderate gaming (optional)

Preferences:

  • IPS preferred for text clarity and viewing angles

  • 75–100Hz is sufficient; higher refresh is a bonus if it does not compromise panel quality

Thanks in advance.

Do you need monitor with type c port?

HDMI is fine. but open for all suggestion.
