After googling a bit I found IOMEGA 2TB Home Media Network HDD

http://www.shopclues.com/iomega-2tb-home-media-network-hdd-m-n-34768.html

It costs Rs.8883/- including shipping after applying coupon code. Will this be right for me OR do I have any other better options?
Need some help in the form of your valuable Advise/Inputs please
Also some feedback from any existing users of the above IOMEGA product OR the other better options regarding the positives/drawbacks etc…

Thank you in advance :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

honestly, you can forget a NAS at that budget… yes you can buy hard drives, in cases, with an ethernet port :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

well, will those hdd’s with ethernet ports help me with downloading torrents without any problems?

my requirement is to download torrents 24X7 without keeping my desktop ON, with the least power consumption. dont have any knowledge about linux either.
any help would be appreciated.

you can use a external HDD/USB + router for that.

The best option will be Seagate goflex home 2tb, or WD my book live 2 or 3 tb.
Newer option WD my cloud .

ANother option would be to pick up a cheap pogoplug/seagate dockstar. I have been using one for 2 yrs+ now. Working perfectly. The dockstar used should be <2k. Attach a HDD and you are set.

where can I possibly get either of these from?

There are some deals running for them.. check slickdeals and techbargains.
