Need an all-rounder (mainly battery champ), around 20-25k

Hey all,

I had an S21 FE, which unfortunately, developed too many green lines, had network and battery problems, so I am looking to upgrade from it.

I don’t need much from a phone, just great battery life (my S21 FE barely gave me 2-3 hours of SOT), good network connectivity both in India and abroad, good support either here and abroad, and a decent software experience (I still love One UI very much). But after the way Samsung support was and refused service, when the issue was not something I caused (I baby my gadgets), I lost faith in Samsung. I would have considered the A35 or something if not.

I don’t game at all, next to no social media (some Snapchat with my friends), YouTube videos, a lot of music via Bluetooth and YT Music. Camera, not too much, just some casual photography (occasional photos, like twice or thrice a week).

I prioritise battery (fast charging also), software, call recording without announcements (calls with parents, I tend to record), and the rest. I’d also like to spend little, and I understand the compromises that come with spending less on a phone.

Most YT videos suggest these, and I am inclined to go with one of these, if no other suggestions make sense:

Nord CE5
Iqoo Neo 10r
Moto G96
Vivo T4

Out of these, I am leaning towards the CE5 or Neo 10r. The CE5 has a clean and minimalistic design, so I do like it, plus the lifetime green line warranty gives me peace of mind. I am a bit skeptical of the Vivo phones, mostly because I’ve not heard enough about Funtouch OS, and the design of the Iqoo Neo 10r is okay. Dad and brother own OnePlus and Oppo phones, and I do like the UI on those.

I am not opposed to buying second-hand or refurbished, from reliable sources, ofc.

I would leave by the end of next month, so anything sooner would be good.

Thanks, and have a great day!

I would suggest the 10R here, as its performance is what you’d want and its stable there, and it truly shines in that aspect. A few of my reasons for choosing the 10R over the CE5 are:

- Better PPI and 1.5K display

- Improved screen protection

- 4K 60fps on the front camera

- High-frequency PWM dimming

- Potentially better after-sales service from Vivo (as I’ve heard)

- Dual stereo speakers (not a big deal for me)

The camera performance is quite similar; one excels in some areas, while the other excels in others. Ultimately, it’s up to you if you prefer Oxygen OS. Also, make sure to read the terms and conditions for the lifetime warranty claim t seems there are specific guidelines to follow for a smoother claiming process.

Also visit croma and take a look and feel for both devices , PLEASE !! - i feel like i should name tag this XD…

Oh nice, I’ll look at Croma and take a look at the phone once. Thank you very much!

I would say whatever phone you want to buy, make sure it has nfc, it’s such a help with payments there in Europe or in foreign general , I would go with ce5 though - personal opinion

My requirements are very similar to yours, except one. If you intend to travel abroad frequently or even once or twice a year, an eSIM becomes very useful as you can buy it online before landing and reduces hassle.

Unfortunately, there are no phones except Samsung A series that fit this criteria. Nord5 with its monster battery is almost perfect for me in all other aspects. Still hoping better models will launch before Diwali.

Go for iQOO neo 10 or poco f7. They have really good battery life. If you can wait, oneplus 13R is alsoming coming soon with 7800mah battery

I wish I could afford it but it’s out of my budget lol. Thanks tho.

I reside in Germany, electronics are usually way more expensive than here, in India, unfortunately. Plus, you don’t have a large variety so thought while I am here, I’d rather buy something cheap here.

Also, to add, OnePlus doesn’t bundle a charger in EU models and the battery is significantly smaller iirc.

okay sounds reasonable

Usually between home and Germany, but it’s like once in a year, so I don’t feel the need for an eSim? Hopefully, like you mentioned, if there’s a sale before I leave, it’d be great.

Usually I just tap my card but I can understand how NFC would be extremely handy, in case I misplace my card, I could use my digital card.

If you are ok with Mono speaker then CE5 , if you can stretch your budget a bit go with Nord 5. Imo under 30k Nord 5 is the best all rounder

Under 30k would be great but it’s really stretching it too much. I would go for the Nord CE5 over the Iqoo Neo 10r I guess but as someone mentioned, I’d look at the phone in person before finalising.

I just want nfc ( I am going to Europe too) , it’s just too handy and I believe it should be a necessity at this point, I had similar budget and I am going with nothing phone 2a plus - aroud 19949 after card discount. so yk, I just wanted nothing experience and need nfc, can’t go around looking for wallet everytime

Completely fair. Why the 2a and not 3a? Just curious.

3a doesn’t really have that much difference from 2a plus , and my god it doesn’t have a micro sd slot, i am getting 256 gigs version for 19949 (good deal in my opinion) and i don’t think it’s good to spend more than that for a same device - somehow nothing wanna follow apple’s routes lol, i like nothing , and i am planning to use it for 3-4 yrs , and switch to pixel or samsung and like tag me or replay to me

Tested out the Nord CE5, was pretty good but the colours were extremely punchy, if that’s the right word. Haptics were similar to my dad’s Oppo K13. Couldn’t find an iQoo neo in any store.

Leaning towards that or any decent second hand old flagship too, non Samsung. Maybe a used iPhone. Any suggestions? Does anyone know when the sales start? Thanks y’all.

I am also looking for phone under 25-30k, currently leaning towards Realme P4 Pro
