Need Apple iPod Touch purchase suggestion

Hi everyone..
I am not sure if i m posting in the rite section.
I am planning to buy an apple ipod touch 16gb. I have couple of questions..

  1. Is buying from A shop at Lamington road safe? one of the shop quoted me 13k against the showroom price of above 15k?
  2. Given the apple’s history of launching new products in sept, is it worth to buy it right away or should i wait for another month? Many are speculating a cam upgrade to touch.

Pls help.

apple warranty works via serial number. so that is one thing you wont lose.

it is expected that the next ipod touch will be having a camera as well…other than that nothing comes to my mind, nor have heard rumors about any other value addition to the touch.

and whenever it launches, it will be expensive and also it will take time to come over here, so you will have to wait maybe upto second half of october atleast.

if u can wait, then wait…even after the new touch launch, you can buy the older, 2nd gen touch.

hmm, you can’t predict Apple releases.. so It’s your choice whether to wait or not.. Apple iPod touch is revolutionary PMP for sure :wink:

There are many rumours and speculations that there will be a new Touch and remember apple upgrades even if it is an cosmetic upgrade every year. With OS 3.0 also out I’d rather wait and watch.

true. It’s just a month away and Apple always does something every year for the USA holiday season. rumours are that Apple may discontinue ipod classic which means there could be heavy price cut on 32Gb ipod touch and we may see 64Gb touch too to fill the void.
