Recently got some Verbatim DL DVDs to back up my 360 games on, burnt the first disc and it was fine
2nd disc onwards am getting this message
Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!
Power Calibration Error
Writer is Asus 1608 flashed to Pio 111L firmware
i did a system restart and burnt the disc anyway but its not readable in the 360
anyone knows if its the media or the writer?
the writer may need some cleaning of the lens though, its 2 yrs old and ive never used a lens cleaner, is it advisable even to use a lens cleaner? if so any generic ones would do?
or should i just get a new burner? i dont want to waste another precious verbatim DL dvd
even i got the same error today …was inteding to backup some xbox360 games
I use TDK Dual Layer 8x Media ,but i burn xbox360 copies at around 1x or 2.4x maximum
However i was able to get one successfull copy of a game , and it worked fine too . But Next 2- 3 dvds it failed
I got the exact same error in imgburn..even at 1x .
**Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!
Power Calibration Error**
My writer too is pretty old, it can write 4.5gb dvds flawlessly, but not dual layer dvds . It gives the power calibration error every now and then while burning media to dual layer dvds ( even in nero, alcohol etc ).
The Problem is obviously with the writer, that it cant burn the dual layer medias consistently and properly .Its like 1 out of 3 or 4 burns might be succesfull, not worthy wasting so much money on failed dual layer disks . Get a new writer ,even im getting one for myself soon ,burn at 2.4x or 1x to ensure proper read in xbox360, and have fun. problem solved
believe me Rave, its the problem of writer only, just buy a new one, and dont risk the verbatim dvds with current dvd writer anymore , wait till the new one arrives.
The same happened with my laptop dvd burner.. For that reason i had to get a dvd burner for my desktop which was without one since ages..and now dl burns are all flawless..
