I need some recommendations for a HDMI 2.1 cable (3M/10FT), I use a Honeywell 2.1 and its been awesome so far but I need more cables and the Honeywell is OOTS, I have settled on this UGreen Cable (
) for now but I am not sure how to check whether its really certified or not.
Also needed some recommendations for a USB to Ethernet adapter, I am getting an LG C3 soon and its ethernet adapter is shit and the area where the TV will be set up has weaker wifi coverage (tested it with iperf and its definitely not enough), I read online that a USB to Ethernet adapter will easily give 150+ Mbps even on a USB 2.0 port and thats definitely enough for me, the only caveat for this is I need the cable to be atleast 3M/10Ft long (I have my cables run behind the wall for a cleaner look), so I am looking for advice from folks with a similar setup, will a simple USB extender work with the adapter? any recommendations for the same?
Not certified but Bluerigger is pretty good.

It works well with my FireTV 4k’s USB2 port. USB2 tops out at 480 mb/s, so I’m guessing this is around the max you can get with the protocol overheads. Slightly faster than my WiFi6 router with way better latency.
thats the thing, I need certified both for performance and future compatibility, stuff like eARC will only work on a 2.1 cable
do you have any extender you can hook this up to? I need to see how much the performance will degrade over the extender, the minimum cable length I need is 6ft and preferably 10ft so I’m not sure how it will work out with that
this is just for additional peace of mind, there are definitely cables that are not HDMI 2.1 certified but work fine, the ones that are certified are *guaranteed *to work within the spec which is really essential if you want to run 4k content or need something like eARC, As for how to verify it, there’s a QR code on each cable box which you can scan with an app or you can look up the cable models (
Hey is there any difference between these 3 cables? All 3 seems to be hdmi certified I think? Worth spending extra for Honeywell or does anker/ugreen have better build quality?
I bought this for my LG C4 as a second display and it doesn’t work. I have a hdmi 2.0 cable which works perfectly fine so it can’t be the hdmi slot.
Any other recommendations for hdmi 2.1 in this price range?
Edit- I just looked up online and found 20xx GPU do not support hdmi 2.1. I have a 2070S connected to a 1440p 180hz monitor, does connecting hdmi 2.1 to second display not work at all or does it work as hdmi 2.0 (less bandwidth).
