Need suggestions on Digi cam with 15X+ optical zoom

Hi Friends,

I want to buy a digi cam which is having good optical zoom like 15x or more my budget is 20k.

I am aware of Sony Dsc-H50 which is of 15x optical zoom. Can any one suggest other models which i can go for.

Panasonic FZ35 is perfect for your needs. Will come under 20k if you are willing to buy from Grey Market. Otherwise it will cost around 2-3k over your budget. But its worth every penny.

I would suggest the canon sx 20is. I read that it is the best there is in this range.

correct me if i am wrong, but you cant zoom while taking a video clip in Sx20IS.

Panasonic FZ35 is best choice. Search for other threads in this section, recently there were many discussions regarding this. I bought my FZ35 for 18750 two weeks back, and current price is 19750. As there is less stock, price is building up. If you choose this, get one before its price shoots up again.

Thanks for suggestions. Buying from grey market will it be fine or do they cheat us with duplicate one?

Any suggestions from where to buy in bangalore and at what price?

Of course you can. I can zoom in slow and fast while shooting a 720p vid.
