The current HDD on my laptop ASUS X555UB seems to be running very slow, and I’m looking to replace it with SSD.
How do I find out the dimensions/model of SSD that can fit in & replace the current HDD.
I’d be buying SSD from USA, please recommend any good SSD’s as well.
Thanks.
Any SSD will fit - SATA III, 7mm SSD.
Ideally, get a Samsung EVO 860 500GB - selling for roughly 10K less CB or the 250GB, 6K less CB.

Thanks @@vivek.krishnan .
How to confirm that 7mm would fit in?
Usually, the standard HDD is 7-9mm, hence the 7mm SSDs will fit for sure.

@@vivek.krishnan This should work for the laptop right? Getting 1 TB EVO 860 at 128$.

^ yes it will work but if your have friend or relative then u can buy from import or u can buy direct and u will end up paying high custom at double price of 100$ extra
Yes. Opt for the SATA version, not the M.2 one.
