I am looking for a Netbook as I need to have access to the internet and MS Office (Word and Powerpoint) everyday and I have trouble lugging around my laptop in Mumbai Local Trains!

What’s your Budget? About 16k. I am getting the Acer Aspire One D270 for 14.5k.

What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? Web Surfing, Email, MS Office (Excel/Word/Powerpoint). Powerpoint presentations are at times huge going upto 150 slides. Watching occasional DVDrips. Speakers can be poor as I use headphones.

What size and weight considerations do you have? A standard 10.1 inch netbook

Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? No specific brand preference.

Any other considerations? Battery Life should be great. Above use with Wifi should give me 5 hours atleast.
Considering my requirements, please recommend a netbook that is the best for me.

Is Intel coming out with the next gen Atom processors soon? Is it worth waiting for it over getting an N2600 based system?**
Can I install Windows 7 Home Basic/Premium 64/32 bit on the Acer Aspire One D270? How is it’s performance?
