New: Dedicated Market Tab + Cleaner Latest Feed

We’ve made a change to how marketplace listings appear on TechEnclave.

What’s changed:

  • Latest now shows only discussion topics — no more marketplace listings mixed in
  • A new Market tab sits right alongside Latest, New, Hot, and Categories in the top navigation
  • Click Market to browse all marketplace listings in a familiar topic-list view, with prices, locations, and status visible at a glance

Want the old behavior back?

If you prefer seeing marketplace listings alongside discussions in Latest, you can turn that on:

→ Go to PreferencesInterface → scroll to Marketplace → check “Show marketplace listings in Latest”Save Changes

This gives our discussion-focused members a distraction-free Latest feed, while keeping marketplace listings just one click away. And for those who liked everything in one place — the toggle has you covered.

Good optional change. This will make the last visit separator to appear much sooner. Huge improvement for people who check up frequently to stay up to date.

Still shows retailer section and WTB threads. Is this intentional? I would prefer if there was absolutely nothing related to market in the latest feed.

Yes that is intentional. Reseller listings will move to market eventually in a month. WTB will move in some days.

What about garage sale?

Let’s have a market place for scammers ? It will be easy to ignore that section :face_with_peeking_eye:

The whole idea of garage sale was for users to list out items that they could not think of how to price. If we allow price to be optional, then we can let go of that section too and keep everything in classifieds only.

Are you open to auction in the Classifieds? If yes, you can keep the price optional.

No bidding or auction shenanigans please.

I guess I’m a bit confused about the garage sale category in general, and how things are supposed to be posted there. I’m seeing a few posts there with bulk item listings and prices clearly mentioned, which just seems like user-to-user listings v2. We can shift this discussion to another thread as well.
