can 9600gt work with a stock PSU of 400W.
i need to squeeze the budget under 30,000.
but adding a good PSU adds a couple of grand more.
need suggestions/advice from u guys please help…
I dont think E5300 can do justice to P53 mobo. G31 based mobo like Gigabyte G31-S2L would be better.
Price for your gskill seems for 4gb, right? It still seems a bit on the higher side.
9600GT requires a good psu, I would suggest gigabyte 460W available with TE dealers at 2.2K.
Did you consider an amd based setup?
thanks for ur reply,
i would be upgrading with a C2dou or maybe quad after a few months and might sell of the e5300. i just need to put everything under the 30000/- mark thats why goin for cheap CPU. and BTW i can OC the e5300 to upto 3.5ghz which can satisfy my needs with the mighty ip35e.
i have considered CM extreme power 500w PSU for around 2.8k.
but still i need to know if 9600gt can work with a stock Xtech 400w since e5300 is 45nm and consumes low power to leave some for the GPU. what say
hey thanks,
but i need to stick with intel as my previous one was.
but still thanks, i can consider this for my brother who is also planing to go with a new AMD system.
well the g.skill is 2X1 GB 800mhz with 4-4-4-12 spd. i chose it so that i could OC it to around 900-950 Mhz.
i heard AMD is not as easy to OC as intel and it consumes a lot of power.[/QUOTE]
where do you collect these crap information? Just look at Phenom x2 550 and its performance results(both in stock as well as overclocking).
Don’t take it as offence , just an information.

no offense taken dude but the cheaper ones like E5200 which cost half the price of X2 550 OC better though less performance.
so its more OC in less price.
and no questions that X2 550 overclocks great but it comes in a higher price tag almost twice as the cheaper intel ones (e2180, e2200)
Hey why do you go with such a costly mobo… Your mobo costs more than ur proccy For the E5200/E5300 the Gigabyte G31E2SL@2.3k is the perfect combo. Lets you OC to great speeds If you wanna upgrade in the future sell the E5300+G31 combo. Surely you will find many takers..
Intel is gonna phase out the LGA775 sockets… So you can upgrade to the LGA 1156/1366/AM3 in the future…
Ditch the generic PSU and save 0.4k more. So you have now saved 3k… Get a Gigabyte superb 460w@2.3k. Save 700rs more and live in peace:)
i) With a 30k budget it is better to go the AMD way as intel is going to phase out the LGA775 sockets…
ii) The HD4670 can be easily powered by the zebronics pro 350w@1.5k… The CX400 is a overkill for this system
