Nintendo Switch 2 - Best way to buy

I want to buy the console. It’s available on Amazon for 48K & 52K if you want Mario Kart game bundled in.

I would buy it in the grey market but it would be tough to get it in EMI there.

Any other place where I can get it cheaper?

I don’t want to get the OLED version as Nintendo won’t make future AAA games backward compatible.

So, better to pay more now to be future ready.

Also. Anyone got any links for Nintendo Switch WhatsApp ncr groups, please DM them to me.

iPhone 16e, apple watch and now nintendo switch, all on EMI. Bro you won lottery or something?

Winning lottery means not buying on emi right

True that

an tv also

Would have won lottery if was buying NOT on emi. Got the stuff on 24 month emi which makes it palatable for me.

So, Amazon seems like the best place to buy on emi considering I’ve got no other reply on an alternative?

I don’t think anywhere else you can get it for EMI other than Amazon.

Btw pokemon bundle is coming out too…thought maybe you might be interested to know.

Pokémon bundle? Is a new Pokémon game coming or will they give an old Pokémon game?

I would take the Pokémon bundle

Its a new Pokemon Game but this is also coming on Switch 1 .

The oled version is available for 19kmon Amazon. Should I get it. But, I can’t play games like donkey kong bonanza on it.

Switch oled for 19k is too good.
I check Amazon can’t find it.
You sure? I see 25k.

Anyways you look bit confused.

Ofcourse Donkey kong bonanza won’t work on switch 1. It is made for switch 2.

But some games coming for switch 2 is going to work on switch 1 too like Metroid Prime 4.
So you need to research more.

Whether you should get switch 1 or 2 is your call.

If I was in your place and not yet played switch 1 games
I would definitely skip switch 2 and get modified switch 1 oled.

Switch 2 is too high priced with very expensive games each costing 7k-8k.

Switch 1 will Save me lot of money and have amazing line up of games at my disposal.

But each to his own. I am just giving my suggestion.

Here’s link for the 19k oled switch. Now, the price has increased.

OLED Model with Joy-Con (Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Edition) Amazon.in

How do I get the modified oled switch? From Ghaffar market? Can I get it “modified” after getting it on emi from Amazon and then going to some place where they do the “modifying”?

I advice you to try to buy modified directly from the store instead of buying first and then getting modified.
It may cost more .
Generally modifying cost is 5k-6k if I am correct but not sure.

Maybe others can advice.

As for EMI …that now depends on the store at gaffar and all of they give you that option.

Update :
Btw is just checked the link. It is a new seller. You may want to avoid buying from new sellers on Amazon.
It may cause unnecessary headache.

It is upto you honestly. If you want to play all new games then it is better to go for S2 because i am pretty sure backward compatible games will be an exception rather than the rule. However, if you want to play Switch games from past then go for OLED now and get S2 down the line after couple of years when the price comes down.

Be careful. It’s a new seller so make sure you do open box and record it.

I think he should just buy modified switch 1 now.
I hope I don’t sound mean and arrogant but he is thinking of buying on EMI and that means he is pushing his budget for switch 2.

Each switch 2 games are going to cost him 7k-8k. It is something even people with lot of money in hand are going to think twice.

Beside he has missed entire generation of switch 1 games.

He is making a poor decision in my honest opinion with switch 2 specially with regards to his budget constraints too.

I understand EMIs are easy for many of us but this is not one time investment specially when it will come to buying games.

How many EMIs he will have to open just to buy 5 games in a year from Nintendo switch 2.

I purchased an Ally with full warranty and 3-month GamePass for 28k after waiting for so long as primarily an emulation handheld and see no reason to literally waste money on a Switch 1 now.

EmuDeck and the processing power to run nearly all PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, GC, Wii, Wii U titles along with Switch 1, PSP, DS, GBA and earlier generations justifies the price easily.

Yes, it takes more effort to set everything up and configure them properly even though Emudeck makes it easy, but that is part of the experience of you are okay with tinkering.

This sounds a good alternative.
If it is able to play so many console games .

However , tinkering part is not for me. Especially if it takes considerable effort.
I hate having to go through all that.

I like to download my game and start playing.

But if it works out well for others. Don’t see why should this be really considered.

I would have to agree here, as well. The OG Switch (OLED) is the way to.

This is mostly because the OP is already relying too much on (24-month) EMIs currently - with the iPhone, Apple Watch and and a TV all bought on EMIs. This means he is budget-constrained and shouldn’t put more financial stress on himself considering the price of S2 games.

@HiPsTeR @solo_wing I always like getting the latest to future proof myself.

There are Nintendo groups of people who trade digital titles. They don’t have to mod their consoles. It’s all legit in a sense. It used to be co-ordinate d via WhatsApp group a couple of years ago. What one would do was when you joined, one would buy a digital AAA title as requested by the group. One could pick any AAA title or any other title available from the group’s existing digital library and essentially rent it and play it. After playing it, return the title and pickup another title.

One had to buy 2 AAA digital titles a year to be a member of the group.

I wonder if that group/process is still around. It was an all India group I think. Very out of the box thinking. I’m not explaining it properly, but it was all technically legit at least during 2018-19.

Nintendo allows only 14 days of sharing within family group if I understand the rules correctly.

It may even become like the sharing can only happen if people are close to same IP/network.

Maybe you are okay with 14 days being enough for you to enjoy games.

As for future proofing yourself.
The console is still in very early stage and many of its games is rolling out gradually.

By the time you invest 20k today on switch 1 and play hundreds of games for a year…within that time frame Nintendo switch 2 will have build up a good library and even the price would have come down atleast by $100-150 depending on the competition .

Still it only makes sense if you see the bigger picture.

If you just want to dive in to latest then all above talk will not make much sense actually.

i hope you enjoy whatever you end up buying.
