The touchscreen of my friends’ Nokia 5230 has suddenly gone kaput and is not registering the touches. A local repair guy told me it will cost 1000 rupees but no guarantee. Nokia care is closed today so still need to ask them tomorrow. So few queries now.
- What is the approx cost of changing the same from Nokia care and how much time do they take to do it ?
- Will they provide a temporary replacement phone in the mean time ?
- Bill is not available for now but the phone is under warranty, but i suppose it does not help as changing digitizer is not covered. Will they ask for bill or only IMEI will do ?
- What will the nokia people change in this case..digitizer or entire screen, not LCD right ???
- I suggested the following to him before going to Nokia care…did i suggest right ??
a. Remove memory card and again start the phone and see if it works.
b. Do a full hard reset (after taking backup from PC) and then see if it works.
