OK, there are some caveats here. Valve’s Steam hardware survey is prone to certain distortions, the particulars of which we’ll come to. But the latest figures for August 2025 are still intriguing, including Nvidia’s RTX 5070 taking top spot among current-gen GPU hardware while AMD’s RDNA 4 cards don’t appear. At all.

When a user bought a nvidia GPU he got steam hardware survey prompt 3-4 times in a year but when the same user bought an AMD GPU he didn’t even get one steam hardware survey prompt once in an year.
This is strange right.

I’ve heard this in the past too, dont know if its true or not. I built my pc 5-6 months ago and I still haven’t received the hardway survey, I am on a nvidia gpu. Anyways the 9070 card supply is an AMD fuckup and I believe they would have been listed in the survey if the supply was good and the cards were available at MSRP. Most people dont want to buy an AMD card by paying a premium over MSRP is my opinion.
