Getting rid of some books from my dad’s old collection and some random finds around the house. Most of the family members have moved to e-books. The books range from a few years old to some being older than a decade. Hence, the overall condition is 2/5, but completely readable.

You don’t put holy books below other books, I can clearly see that in the pic. Secondly Quran is not something you read and you are done with it. Anyways its upto you what you want to do with it.
Bruh, sorry to hurt your insensitivities, but I am an atheist and I store all my books however I want. The friend that gifted me the Quran (I was curious in religious texts) never told me anything about specific storage rules, and neither should you. I carry no intent to disregard or disrespect any religious sentiments of Islam because I simply don’t believe in them or any other religion for that matter. They are simply pieces of historic literature for me.
I didn’t intent to educate you or put my beliefs on you either, The username (TheNawab) gave an impression that you are a Muslim so I made that comment. Anyways since this is a sale thread I’ll rather stop the offtopic discussion here.
Wow seeing this thread about books gave me dopamine. I had that DK Visual Dictionary book too. Some caravan sellers who visited my school decades ago and I bought it. Thought 50% something off of MRP was a good thing back then. I bought that and it came with another book “free” for ₹1500. Very appealing visuals but the books were really heavy.
If they have that lovely smell of old books then I’d like to call dibs on the Enid Blyton, Ruskin Bond and Dragon Rider.
Again with the unwarranted schooling!? First on Quran and now this. I don’t understand why I am being morally schooled for just selling my old books to interested parties.
I clarified earlier that the reading scene is DEAD where I live. The government library is terribly managed, nobody locally buys or reads books in my town and I would much rather give these books to those who actually want to read them. Why are y’all hell-bent on schooling folks for selling their stuff.
People who actually are interested in the books are already buying them, your opinion on “what my dad wanted to do” is not needed here. Thank you.
@Renegade Can you please clean my sale thread of the unwanted discussion unrelated to the sale inquiries? Thanks.
