so if you have 3 or 4 tvs at home , do you guys buy separate settops and cards for it or is there any other way ?
With TataSky, we have a multi-room subscription with 4 boxes. That is the only way to watch individual programs on the 4 tvs simultaneously.
There is something called a system-link or something being done by TataSky but with it, you will watch the same programs or channels on all tvs connected through it.
^^Its called DigiLink. You will be able to change the channel from the other TV as well but the same channel will run on both TVs.
Its cost is Rs.1500(Not whether they changed the price now) and it will be connected to your STB.
Theres discount from Tatasky for multiple subscriptions in one home.
My 2nd stb costed 1500, + 125/month.

Dude multi-room subscription(upto 3 TVs per house I think) works off just one Dish and yes, you are provided one STB so obviously you can choose your own channel, but the channel package is the same one as the 1st TV. 125rs is your monthly charge. No other DTH has this kind of service.
A correction here. With TataSky (atleast) you can have upto 4 STBs per residence. You can choose whatever package you want for the 1st box and the same will be available on all the boxes and will be charged at an additional of Rs. 125/- per additional box. So if you have the 1st box with a package of 300/- per month and 3 additional boxes, then you will be paying them 300+125+125+125=675/- per month. With this, you have 4 individual connections and a lot of peace around the house.

This is a useful thread, even I need DTH service for 3-4 T.V.'s in my home.
Visited local dealers, enquired about major service providers, Airtel, Dish TV, Tata sky, Big tv, etc. Only Tata Sky offers service to connect multiple T.V’s as told by other members too.
Catch is one has to buy as many set top boxes & 125/- is the rental for each addition.
Wonder why other service providers are not offering such service!
Recently enrolled for DTH … after lot of research .. opted forSKy ..
Though many players are in market .. sky provides better customer care. .. and have good market experience unlike other players .. i think ..
they also provide competitive rates/features…
