Opera Mini 5 beta released...and its awwsome

Hey check this out, this one really has some cool new features, including tabbed browsing and password manager…
Opera Mini | The most popular mobile phone browser in the world

runs a little slow on my P1i…otherwise its awesome!

Thanks for the update. Will install it right away. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

EDIT: Damn, its bloody awesome! Its like Opera 10 beta on my phone! :face_with_tongue:

My phone sucks though. Stuck with an N73. :frowning:

Downloading right away…hope it will run fine on my w800i.

BTW, does it also have download manager ?? I had a couple of hacked versions of opera mini with download manager, file browser and what not.

this version of opera mini rocks, it has a cool new look nice pass manager it runs a bit slow on my NOKIA 5800 xpressmusic.

Been using this for a while on my SE W910i and indeed it rocks.

This version o Opera rocks !!
relly gud interface

i really miss the “open link in new tab” option.

hope they put this option in final version.

otherwise it totally awesome.

Useing for about 2weeks with my nokia n72 its quite slow for me

One thing that I didn’t like at all was what they did with the inline editing. Earlier I use to be able copy/paste in a text box and use T9 too.

But now I have to disable inline editing to do that. :frowning:

i miss T9 the most.. gets quite frust typing emails n pswds..

Look and feel is awesome..I hope they’ll add T9

Go to Settings>> Advanced Settings>>> Switch off Inline Editing.

hey can i get the full version ie without trial or demo.plz tell me.

copy/paste and all works just fine, there is also option for open in new tab. To do that u have to keep the link pressed ( in touch screen) a small circle rotates around it and u get a small menu with all such options. It rocks on my nokia 5800.

No download manager in it.but working good on reliance and w350.
Btw how to edit the speeddial once assigned?

Works great on my 5800 tube, way better than default broswer :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

btw, is there any setting to always start it in Landscape mode?

How is this different from Opera 10 beta for mobile phones?

IMHO, the default browser on my Nokia 5800 is way better than Opera Mini. The Opera Mini is only better in eye candy but has terrible page rendering.

The Opera Mobile (not the mini) is the real competitor to the Nokia 5800 default browser.

I tried Bolt but its sluggish in terms of connectivity, it runs almost at snail pace on a 512Kbps WiFi connection while so-so on GPRS but Opera runs like bat outta hell on both WiFi and GPRS. So IMHO Opera still FTWs!
