Ahem.. I need to get the prices for the following cofig please …

They are for a friend..

Here goes :face_with_tongue:

  1. Intel P4

->a)2.6 GHz

->b)3.0 GHZ

  1. HDD

->a)120 GB HDD

->b)160 GB HDD

  1. 915 mobo

  2. 512 MB DDR

  3. 2.1 Sound System (Creative or Intex)

  4. FDD

  5. DVD Writer (cheap and best → Maybe BenQ??)

  6. 17" Monitor

  7. Case+PSU

  8. Good cheap UPS

  9. Keyboard

  10. Mouse

*If needed a TV Tuner card as well

No graphix card reqd..

I’d want the prices for 2 options..

a-> All Black

b–> All white

First, I recommend an AMD rig even though I have a Pentium setup - don’t ask why, it’s obvious :slight_smile:

Second, here are prices based on my recommendations for a P4 rig:

  1. Pentium 630 (3.GHz / EM64T / 2mb L2 cache) [8250]

  2. 160GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm HD [4000]

  3. ASUS P5GPL motherboard [4500]

  4. Transcend 2512mb DDR400 [22750]

  5. 2.1 Creative [2000]

6 & 7. Any FD / BenQ 1640 [3500] - also get a normal CDROM drive [650]

  1. Samtron 17" Flat 793DF [6700] OR Philips 17" Flat107ts [5800]

  2. Zebronics or VIP [3000 to 3500] OR Antec ranging from 4500

  3. APC [2400]

11 & 12. Microsoft wired desktop 500 [850]

TV tuner cards cost around 1000 bucks I guess. Hope this helps. End of day, everything depends on what you can fit into your budget. These prices are for black hardware and exclude any tax.
