I am planning to buy a new sata HDD (internal) for a reasonable rate. I havenât yet decided on the size. Please let me know the cost range for 160,300,500 GB HDDs. Iâm also planning to âsellâ my 512mb ddr2 667 ram. Do they take seconds in SP road? Any idea on how much it might go for? Thanks.
I am building a good linux system for **compute **jobs. This would be my first assembled PC. Below is the configuration and the price I am getting on SP road. Is it a good system for compute intensive jobs?
Intel core i7 920 - Rs 13800
Gigabyte x58 extreme MOBO - Rs 19500
Corsair DDR3/1333 8GB - Rs 9000
500Gb*2 Segate SATA HDD (barracuda ES2) - Rs 2500*2
CM SMPS RS 650W - Rs 4000
CM HAF-932 Cabinet -Rs 9000
APC 1.1 KVA UPS -Rs 4700
Monitor Samsung 22" T220 -Rs 13000
XFX 9600 GT 1GB -Rs 6200
Is it a good system? I am particularly not sure about power supply, UPS and the cabinet. Does anyone have experience in building a redhat system on given processor and mobo?
Are the pricing competitive? Which are the good shops on SP road where I can buy these things. Please note I wouldnât mind paying few bucks extra if I get good customer service and trouble free exchange/replacement.
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your time and inputs.
tht guy feels he is doing a favour by selling:rofl:. I stood 20 mins there right in front of him asking if the item was available.
though ankit quotes ridiculous prices at firstâŚthey help even if they dont have the product. He pointed out the store for heatshrink tube and took time to give their number
i had an intresting exp at golcha when i went for 3 500 gb WD passport.
the sales guy was hell down on selling me buffalo
he quoted 5700 + VAT
came down to 5400 (incl vat) even accepting CC for that price.
looked very fishyâŚ
mean while ankith is now quoting 5400 for 500 GB WD passport without bargian
can come down by 200..
