Most probably your power supply block went dead (if you have the external power supply block). Take the power supply unit to electronics repair shop ask him check with multimeter. If it’s dead you’ll have to buy a compatible one from market. Take the existing one along with you and search. If the printer is damaged you try local computer repair wala who does chip level repairing to see if repair is possible. The power adapters usually cost 400-500 Rs.
Mostly it will be adapter..B’coz, adapters are ment for this purpose only..to protect your electronic products circuit from higher voltages(Also to conver AC to DC). Your converter was stepping down 230V to 110V, which was needed for this printer.
When you put this adapter without conver it might have burnt.

yea i know the power supply unit is dead.
& it is not user-replaceable.
i checked with epson guyz they were quoting Rs.1500-1900 for just replacement of power supply unit.
& do u think that local engineers can replace this kinda power supply {American one with 110V rather then Indian one 230V} ???
