I am running vista, and have a lite-on dvd-rw. whenever i try and watch a dvd on my computer it just dont work, it says that i dont have the codecs, but i dled and installed k-lite codec pack.
yes even i get same problem eventhough all codecs were installed. r u using 64bit vista? i think the codecs are not supported fully since they dont show up in the list of codecs installed in the system.
best choice is to use vlc or media player classic edition

Use PowerDVD .. also , for Vista , i’d recommend u to manually install the codecs u need , like ffdshow , real alternative etc. etc. …
