Hadn’t played the first one, but gonna give this one a shot
i recommend you to play F.E.A.R. before playing F.E.A.R. 2 as F.E.A.R. 2 continues the story of F.E.A.R.

FEAR sounds better than project origin. i recommend guys to play FEAR, EXTRACTION POINT, PERSEUS MANDATE before moving on to FEAR 2
Of all the fears, Extraction point is my personal favourite. Those bloody ghosts are unforgettable.
yes. especially the hosiptal stage has scary scenes
the story in FEAR 2 kicks off just half hour before the ending of FEAR 1 ..so will see it again in FEAR 2 … and its not necessary to play extraction point / Perseus mandate before this game ..but personally i would say that one must play both of em 
Haven’t played Perseus Mandate yet. Is it worth it, cause I heard it wasn’t so good.
