Question on LG Optimus 2x

Hi guys,

Is there anyone here who has bought the Optimus 2x? I was initially planning to shift from HTC Legend and get a new Incredible S. But after seeing the price of the phone was put off and started thinking about getting Optimus 2x.

Was wondering why there were so few posts about the phone considering its amongst the most powerful phones available today. Is the fact that there seem to be conflicting negative points in reviews and the price turning people away from it or just the fact that getting a highend (and expensive) smartphone from LG and not the usual suspects (HTC/Samsung/Apple) is a risk worthy of not taking?

Please share your thoughts..

right now,android is not fully optimised for any dual core mobile.

and it will take time considering google updates and those updates coming down to handsets.

but i am hopeful of lg to push those updates pretty fast.

wait for a month or so for price to stabilise.

@OP: The phone is still not out in the market… If it is tell me, it will make my day.

I have been told that stock will arrive next week… if you can wait until then, will give you my impression. Looks and build-wise, it’s a solid phone.

I’ve held it, with my own hands, and asked for price and asked availability. It’s 27k immediate…

but it will be in the future right? Isn’t that all future-proof is about?

^^ I didnt take any, they were open stall at Select Citiwalk, Saket, New Delhi. I think the chicks were distracting

I still don’t see any updates in any other threads and so not sure whether the phone is really out in the market. Wanted to know whether it comes with the micro HDMI cable or not in India if anybody here has bought it. Also have never used a LG mobile before (have used Moto/Samsung/Nokia/HTC before) and hence am a bit confused about getting a pricey phone from them.

Does anybody know whether the phone is released and available at any retail store? If so where to get it @Blore? I enquired at croma yesterday and they were not sure about the release.

^^ Not in the market yet. I am told stock delayed… will be arriving sometimes next week. If you are waiting, now wait for Galaxy S II. Launch in India around May 15. It will be worth it

Yeah, hopefully it’s priced at 35k or less, beyond that not worth it.

At 35k its also not worth it .

Around30 we can say its worth considering 2X priced at 27k so S2 should not b priced more than 30k.

The reason that I’m keen on L2X is because of the market price (if 27k) and the tegra support along with HDMI mirroring. I’m not too keen on mobile gaming but wouldn’t hurt to play mobile games as well :). I’ve been using HTC Legend so main concerns for me are the quality of LG (phones having not used any) and the seemingly bloatware loaded LGs buggy android skin. If they’d release the phone here with vanilla android like the G2X, then it would be just too good..

Samsung GS2 does not have HDMI out.. but has DLNA though

Motorola Atrix is another excellent alternative considering its feature-set and fantastic community support!
