Anyone tried this? AMD Dual-Core Optimizer. and the AMD X2 - 1.3.2.16 drivers? i’m still stuck on 1.2.2.2.
its supposed to optimize individual core usage…
i just put the opty’s amd cpu drivers. the optimizer drivers are not in the opty section.
I have done both (Driver+Opty).

Dual Core Optimizer, the AMD Drivers and the MS Hotfix.
Read a thread on the [H] which mentioned that each fixed issues in certain sets of games - so installed all 3 !

Another question of my own - are games the only software affected ? i.e. would a non- gamer be better off running his system without the drivers?
^ athlon and opty drivers come in the same versions. just that people using opty for gaming are less i guess. maybe so. but i don’t want to take chances at this time. so just asking.
ok guys,i observed 1 thing.When no drivers were installed,dbpoweramp was using 100% of one core but after installing the drivers,now both cores are used at 50% each.
Thats what i observed.
the MS dual core hotfix (KB896256) and AMD’s cpu drivers are required definitely. i was having issues with BF1942 mod specifically. those got fixed with these two.
i don’t know about the Optimizer (for opty). so far iosoft has done it i guess.
