QWERTY - Bar Phone - 20k max & 10k max - Father

Guys,
Want to gift my father a good QWERTY phone @ 20k. Considering the E6 at present, but confused with Nokia Asha 302 priced so low, yet specs are high. Never mind the touch part.
Want to buy another QWERTY for me @ 10k. Or should I go for BB. Got many doubts on BB.

Questions:-

  1. Q: Budget?
    A: 20k max. But good quality phones at lower prices are preferred too for my father. For moi 10k at max.

  2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
    A: Bar

  3. Q: Preferred display type?
    A: TFT LCD

  4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
    A: Dad - Nokia, Sammy, HTC, Moto
    Me - Good ones

  5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
    A: DAD - QWERTY is important but touch is ok.
    Me - QWERTY only

  6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
    A: Not really important

  7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
    A: Any OS is ok.

  8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
    A: 3G. WIFI

  9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
    A: Phone, Push mails

  10. Q: Any other requirements?
    A: Dual sim is present is ok.

  11. Q: If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
    A: Nokia E6 and Nokia Asha 302.

Any idea guys. Leave the 10k option. Blackberry is also on. I don’t know anything about BB. Will it work on Prepaid ones, never mind the BB services. Will it integrate the pushmail of gmail. My dad will be on prepaid, thats why.

So right now the option is Nokia Asha 302 with its S40 which my dad is used to, making it easy.

If BB is ok with you, @sunny27 is selling a BB Curve 9320 for ~10K. AFAIK, you need to pay the extra amt over normal internet for BBM @ BB Mail services, else normal GPRS/EDGE packs should work.

I would not recomend the Nokia Asha series in any condition. Once your dad start using Android, he will like the app support, IMO.

You could also look to the Galaxy Pro phone from samsung which has the qwerty keypad.

You can consider Xperia Pro from ebay at 13-14k. Excellent keyboard, plus with ICS, the phone flies.

Any other BB phones. I have zeroed on BB Curve 9320 as above @ 14k.

e6 might be better.

@vivek.krishnan Its BB Curve 9320 and not BB Curve 9220, which sunny27 had sold.
If its cheaper online, lemme know. Also is e6 better than it.

E6 is a very nice phone.
The battery life is legendary.
Both of you should buy the E6.
The entire curve series from bb is poor.
