I don’t like most of his reviews and sometimes his criticisms were overlaid with personal bias. I just couldn’t understand how he claimed “Videogames cannot be art”, he just didn’t get it, an old fart way over his time.

But I appreciate his enthusiasm for movies and the way he was always looking forward to review another. I might have some different opinions than his, but his reviews always put great insight into the film at hand and let us explore it further on our own if we need to.

I always use to read his reviews and specially liked his way of reviewing a movie from the perspective of the intended audience for it. This is something most critics tend to ignore. Although i might not agree with many of his reviews, his review was pointer for me for international movies.

On a side note, which other international movie critic you guys follow? Peter Travers from Rolling stone?
