Real-world experience editing 4K on Ryzen 5 5500 + 32GB RAM + GTX 1660 Super?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a budget setup mainly for video editing (Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve) and wanted to ask if anyone here has real-world experience with the following config:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5500

RAM: 32 GB

GPU: GTX 1660 Super 6gb

I’m mostly going to be working with 4K footage.

How well does this combo handle 4K editing, especially in terms of playback smoothness, scrubbing, and export times?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has actually used this or a similar setup.

dont get gpu instead get cpu with better integrated graphics like Ryzen 7 8700G this will be faster than your combo and you dont need to worry much on running out of vram as 8700g will use RAM as VRAM
