my pc got bust when i accidentally change the settings of 420 Psu from 220v to 110. its damged.
i plan to get new psu having 500w. is this okay?
my mobo is 945gnt INtel & pentium Dual core ..
What else does it have apart from CPU and Mobo?

Don’t get any of those no-name generic PSUs.
No need for 500W either.
The least you should go for would be the VIP 400EW costing Rs 1150/- or so.
If you can afford more, the Zebronics Pro 350 @ Rs 1500/- is expected to be better but for some reason it is not so easily available. And if you can afford still more, the Gigabyte Superb 460W should be safe enough even if you plan to change your CPU+Mobo at some point in the future.
Having said all this, I notice that you are in the UAE so none of the above statements on brands may hold true for you.
Unless you have a lot of upgrades in the pipeline…u really shouldn’t need a 500W psu.
A Gigabyte 460 will suffice your needs with ease:)
