Hmmm…after Bungie split up with MS, this was always a doubt. Good to see it’s still coming.
It better not be a shitty port like Halo 2.
But knowing MS they will probably make it Windows 7 exclusive or some crap like that
And if you have played the X360 version i doubt u will be playing the PC one. I dont get it what all the hype was about. The game was a very normal generic shooter, people wouldnt even play it if it wasnt for Master Chief
true for me HALO was always a avg shooter which was over hyped only bcoz it was MS and one of the first shooter for console.
Uh, shooters have existed for consoles since the days of the NES, and I’m sure even much before that.
my thoughts exactly.. halo was an avg shooter as far as shooters go on the pc… but the hype it carries.. have to try it atleast once i guess.. maybe ill jus borrow the disc from a friend
To call Halo 3 a normal shooter is an insult to all shooter games. Its the worst piece of crap of a game to have seen the light of the day.
This was the first game I bought along with my XBOX 360 and I haven’t encountered a more lousy and boring game on any platform till date. I could not believe that it sustained all that hype even after people got to play it personally.
Thankfully Mass Effect saved the day for me.
Not really. Halo was a leap as far as FPS are concerned. It was a killer FPS title on console and when it released on PC it set a few standards in game play and story telling.
It was a break from the dark and linear corridors of Doom and Quake or industrial expanses on Half Life. It was a well lit, open environment game. First of its kind that told an epic with fairly standard setting graphics. It’s music was awesome. First time a game had used music of such a high quality and fused it into the game play with such an expertise.
Halo brought the weapon choice element and rechargeable shield in game play. Something which is now a standard. It used a great deal of vehicular action - on land and air - that was something unique at the time Halo was released.
Yes, as far as Halo 2 is concerned, I agree it was a shame. On PC it was even worse as by the time it appeared, other titles were miles ahead in terms of game play and presentation.
But Halo 3 was good on console. I have not played it but it did ok as far as sales are concerned. Now let us see how PC version will be. Though I think it will be quite poor because now titles are just too ahead of Halo series.

Personally, after serious thinking and reading through atleast 500 posts here on TE and other forums, I can safely conclude that Halo sucks!

meh, not much exited am i, still have halo 1 and 2 to complete, only thing i liked about halo 1 was its multiplayer
and to say it got a perfect 10 on gamespot. After the Halo 3 review, i stopped trusting gamespot.
