The “Search Programs and Files” field in the Start menu doubles up as Run. Or Windows+R.

Irony @ OP’s username and not knowing ‘RUN’ in Windoze.

By the way, You could have just typed Run in that ‘Search’ bar which comes up when you click the ‘Start - Windows icon’ and you would’ve been good to go.

yap, in “search programs and files” in start menu, type cmd…
actually, you can type the exec file in “search programs and files”…if you want to open paint, type mspaint…notepad, calc, winword (if you have office installed) intead of going thru start->all programs and scrolling to office menu…:slight_smile:

Yes the Search programs and files field also works as “run” command. Try diskmgmt.msc or gpedit.msc!!!

alternatively, right click on start orb, select properties, then from customize option select Run.
search a bit.
