hmm…Animals soon become more deadly tools of war( not new ofcourse but much more deadlier )
I remember a story way back in Iraq-Iran war about Saddam releasing 5000 monkeys on a mine field to destroy mines .
The World seems to be destined to shutdown permanently, all lifeforms . Pigeons/animals are going to be used.
I think both CIA and KGB were using Dolphins for spying and all. This is actually during Cold War.
I think this Pigeon is just tip of the iceberg.
I think Pakistan was also caught using birds and other animals near the border.

Homing pigeons were part of erstwhile wars including WWII.
During the 19th-century Franco-Prussian War (1870–1871), besieged Parisians used carrier pigeons to transmit messages outside the city; in response, the besieging Prussian Army employed hawks to hunt the pigeons.
