Any idea on what happens to users who have updated to the new UI 8. I think we will have to wait it out.
From what Iāve read, it could be a battery-draining bug, but it hasnāt been confirmed. I have it installed on my S25, but the battery is rock solid.

My uncle has no issues whatsoever. I am just worried about the OEM Unlock for now.
So I have managed to clear the cache of the software update program using adb. This automatically deletes the downloaded update.
Phone is set to not update on startup or to download updates.
There are no more reminders to update since it no longer exists. Checking for update says everything uptodate because Sammy has pulled the update. This sorts out the forced update after downloading it.
Will have to decide now what to do. Locked bootloader or not.

@rockstah Waiting for your experience, are the issues with previous updates resolved here? Mainly OEM Unlock.
Itās still missing. I didnāt face any issue so no idea whatās changed here. Itās probably just security update

My phone randomly showed a single green line while removing from charging and unlocking. It disappeared few seconds later. I thought they fixed the green line issues!

I managed to capture it yesterday. It went away after few minutes but Iām half sure thereās a white line kinda impression it left behind which is not exactly visible so i might be imagining it. I mailed Samsung customer care they just gave a generic reply to visit SVC so i donāt have much hope in free replacement
I would still go and get it replaced if possible. Donāt delay. But you will have to reproduce it in front of them.
Itās not visible now, guess Iāll have to wait for it to pop up again. I didnāt know Samsung flagships are also plagued by this.

No drops, could it be the effect of last Android 16 update? Even before this there was a banding like thing appeared in screen when it was in warranty but it didnāt appear ever again so I didnāt visit SVC. The green line also hasnāt comeback so far, hopefully it stays that way. Iāll reply to email saving thereās nothing now and will visit SVC if it happens again.
Itās a sign of damaged traces. OLED screen tech is very thin these days and can get damaged.
HOW or WHY is it getting damagedso easily ? Nobody seems to know
But the fix is a screen replacement.
Who pays depends on warranty and that is assuming they donāt blame you for abuse.
Just be prepared to pay up if you donāt want to fight with them. Upto 10k for a genuine screen.

There are some local shops who claim to fix this without changing screen. If the SVC wonāt bulge Iāll probably give them a try.
Please give further info about these Local shops and what they do.
They remove these green line and give guarantee that it wonāt be back in same spot again. Also there are many shops which change only the top cracked glass without having to change the whole display.
