Care to elaborate. I am looking to buy this.
I meant S24 comes with an exynos processor instead of snapdragon in India. I would rather wait for the next international trip and get the global version which has the snapdragon processor.
Exynos heats up more than snapdragon. For a compact phone like base s23/24/25 series, thermal management is important. @@animishticomb is right in being wary.
Only the US one get’s Snapdragon. rest of the world get’s exynos. Right?
I am still sticking to my S22+ because of the same reason.
Depends model wise. My s23 base Indian model is snapdragon.
This is why I bought S23. if it was exynos, I would have never bought it. Glad that I did because the next version S24 came with exynos.
Not as good as the SD8G3 at the same price. Possibly fine for regular use otherwise at discount.
But check the Samsung Corporate store as well since it was a bit above 40k when I checked a few months back not counting bank offers or cashback.
Does this really have the snapdragon processor:
even if it has it.. the battery life will still be trash.. can you live with 25W charging and charging your phone 2 times a day post 3-6 months of ownership? fine go ahead and buy this.
source: previous fold6 owner which has the same processor and 4400mah battery.
this is my free advice to anyone who thinks S23 and S24 series are good phones.. unless you are buying the Ultra series.. nobody should buy the lower end S-series phones.
Usage is chat apps, normal browsing and camera. No gaming.
same usage as mine, i did 0 gaming aswell.. I had such a bad experience with the battery that i actually ended up selling my fold6 to buy the S25U and FOLD6 was 4400.. S24 is 4000.
oneplus phones are a no brainer in this price range i think.
S24 Exynos user here. Besides the horrendously slow charging, it’s a great all rounder that holds up just fine for everyday tasks (I don’t do much gaming).
That said, if OnePlus could finally make a camera as good as Samsung, I’d switch back in a heartbeat.
I have a base S22 and my wife has the base S23. I agree that the battery sucks on my S22, considering I upgraded from the base S9.
But I wanted a small Android phone with a good screen and a decent camera and base S22 is great on all those. Plus, I work from home so charging is not really a problem.
Luckily E2400 of S24 series is not as bad as older Exynos (S21/S22) or current Tensor (Pixel 9 or older) in terms of performance, thermals or battery efficiency. So S24/S24FE series can be considered for normal usage.
E2400 is slightly inferior to 8 Gen 3 for sure, but at least it is faster than 8 Gen 2.
If camera is not a priority & can live with Color OS (has improved a lot in the past few years), OP 13s is a great compact phone. Hopefully we will get more compact options in Android space in future.
I have used the Exynos 24 for over a year for normal use; it is a great phone. You won’t even notice any difference compared to Snapdragon. Right now, my mom is using the same, and she is very happy with it.
