Listed is Sapphire Pulse 12GB model RX 6700XT
It was purchased 2nd hand last year from theithunt website.
I have used this to play Red dead redemption 2 and fortnite.
I am selling it because, I have another GPU - MSI 6600XT and I only play Fortnite 99% of the time.
So I am hoping to sell this and use the money for something else.
I have uploaded pictures of the SN also just incase.
In terms of performance, the card is roughly like a 3070 but in VRAM situations it does better.
Thank you
Received card and bad news its not working, I tried contacting mahe, but not responding, his phone is not reachable, and not seeing his WhatsApp, @@Renegade @@puns please take proper action.
Sorry to know that. But do exercise caution while dealing with new members. This forum is a trust based community, you can’t extrapolate that trust to members who have barely been here for a month and have no history in dealing with anyone else.
This person joined the forum on Feb 20, made a sale thread on the same day, price dropped the next day two times, and you paid him two days later!?! He dropped the price two times the next day, meaning he was looking for a hit and run. You should have known better since you’ve been here for over a year. Hope the mods have the scammer’s actual details and take required action.
Hey. Does the card not turn on at all or what happens?
How is it physically? Does it look physically mangled?
Can you show in more detail
i think the amd 6000 cards and nvidia 2000-3000 cards are so old now.
3000 cards came in 2020, right? That’s 5 years ago.
these series are at the end of their healthy lifespan.
just think how many electrical components capacitors, resistors, inductors degrade in that timespan.
even solder degrades. i had a 5700xt card die on me simply by repasting the card. just took the cooler off new thermal paste and put the cooler back. the tensioning and untensioning of the cooler was enough. that’s how risky and finicky such old cards can be
The card is not physically damaged but there are signs that the card was opened, thermal pads are looks new.
The problem is there is no display output and not detecting in bios or device manager, thought the fans are spinning it seem, it is getting power. Also I have tried to connect gpu in multiple PC but not detecting in anyone of it.
try hdmi and display port both. fan spinning is a good sign. no fan spin would indicate a dead core.
see if the chip (gpu die) gets warm or hot. if yes then most likely your gpu processor is ok. try with different display cables also.
those are all you can try. unfortunately there is a lot of electrical components also, so there’s only so much troubleshooting you can do. where do you live?
Really sorry about what transpired. I sincerely hope you find a resolution by getting your money back.
Some do’s for the future:
Be careful when dealing with members who have joined recently and only be found in the marketplace and who have no trader feedback + no forum activity
In the case of the aforementioned scenario, NEVER make an advance payment until you receive the product in working condition. If they refuse, don’t deal. You should only make advance payments to tenured/active/respected members.
As @@buzz88 mentioned, TE is a trust-based community.
as far as I’ve researched, these cards are THE sweet spot for budget media consumption nowadays, especially after the pricing fiasco of the gpu market.
That’s never happening here. We have been doing fine without such a system. Lots of deals happen here every day without any issue. What you need to look for is that the person you are dealing with has a good history on the forum, has dealt with other people before. New members who can’t show good history/ratings often offer to ship items before the payment happens in case the buyer has a good rep. If both parties are new and have no history/ratings, most people would advise for 50-50 payment before and after the shipping is done. Or just refrain from buying and selling till you have established a good post history and have made some friends. Members who are very new and are only interested in buying/selling are a huge red flag. If you (I mean anyone reading this) are among them, just stick to OLX or FB marketplace.
Those are good points. I hope this is the case and the seller reverts but all signs point to a scam, I’m afraid. Happy to be proven wrong.
Yes, I have tried HDMI, DP and i dont think gpu is getting warm, I live in Bangalore, maybe I can find some shop who can repair this. if mahe doesn’t reply. If nothing works out i will use this a showpiece fan
with the heatsink and the fans spinning it might be difficult. when you turn the system off from power, touch the card right behind where the core is, if it’s not cold to the touch then most likely you have a good core. then you have some hope, it could be something minor. anyway see what you find
